Adjudication and Dispute Boards

Adjudication has a long tradition of facilitating efficient dispute resolution between parties in technically complex matters. This process often offers a shorter, more flexible, and cost efficient alternative to classic litigious mechanisms. Often embedded in large-scale construction contracts, dispute boards serve the purpose of continuous and contemporaneous claim determination.

Parties agree to submit their claims to a third party who then makes a decision which is, in principle, binding, subject to an appeal mechanism within a very short period of time. This allows businesses to maintain working relationships and avoid lengthy litigation or arbitration proceedings.

We regularly represent clients in some of the largest infrastructure and construction projects across the globe. Our technical understanding deriving from this experience enables us to provide tailored adjudication process service from the drafting of the relevant agreements, to the selection of suitable adjudicators as well as representation in front of dispute boards.
