Dr. Christian W. Konrad to Speak at B-Safe26 Vienna Summit

1. September 2026

Dr. Konrad joins leading experts from politics, economics, law and technology at the B-Safe26 Vienna Summit to discuss the challenges of an increasingly uncertain world.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Christian W. Konrad will be among the distinguished speakers at B-Safe26 Vienna, an international summit dedicated to examining the foundations of security, economic sovereignty and long-term stability in a rapidly changing global environment.

The B-Safe26 Vienna Summit will take place on 6 November 2026 at Palais Niederösterreich in Vienna, Austria, under the guiding theme “Security. Substance. Stability.”

Against the backdrop of shifting geopolitical alliances, economic uncertainty and accelerating technological change, the summit aims to provide a forum for critical reflection and informed discussion on how individuals, businesses and institutions can maintain stability and their capacity to act independently in an increasingly complex world. The summit will bring together leading academics, practitioners and decision-makers, offering diverse perspectives on the challenges and opportunities arising from these developments.

The programme will address four central themes: European political and institutional stability, economic and legal sovereignty, personal resilience, and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Konrad will deliver a keynote address on “The Legal System as a Foundation of Economic Sovereignty and Investment Security”, exploring the importance of reliable legal frameworks for economic stability and investor confidence.

He will also join Prof. Dr. Philipp Bagus and Prof. Dr. Werner J. Patzelt for a discussion entitled “Reform Capacity under Real-World Conditions: Economics, Politics and Law”. In a further interactive session, Dr. Konrad will engage with the audience on legal certainty, capital allocation and investment location decisions.

The summit is hosted by Markus Langemann and Diana-Maria Stocker and is designed to encourage substantive discussions and direct exchanges between speakers and participants.
