After a successful first edition, Konrad & Partners is pleased to announce the organization of the second edition of its
“Arbitrators’ Quest  – Konrad & Partners´ CEE and SEE mock trial based on real life experience” which will take place on 19 May 2016 in Vienna.

International arbitration is a specialized field of work that requires not only expert knowledge, but also intense practical experience to master. As such, while a firm understanding of the legal concepts and theories constitutes an indispensable basis for a successful career in this field, insight into the every-day work of an arbitration practitioner can give prospective lawyers a considerable edge.

We are committed to fostering future talents and want to serve as an interface for High Potentials between theory and practice.

Our mock trial, therefore, aims at providing students and young professionals in the field of international arbitration an opportunity to gain insight into and first-hand experience with situations and matters typically arising in international arbitration disputes, under the supervision of, and in close cooperation with, experienced practitioners as well as renowned scholars.

Based on the written (to be submitted in advance) and oral performance, an “Arbitration Specialist” will be elected from amongst the participants who will be offered a paid internship with the Konrad & Partners Arbitration Practice Group in Vienna.

Under the sign of “Lifelong Learning” we will close the day with a panel discussion chaired by a leading arbitration scholar followed by a cocktail reception providing for a relaxed atmosphere for further networking.

We particularly encourage students and young professionals from the CEE and SEE regions to apply for one of our 10 places in the mock trial.
