Expertise
Peter Rižnik joined our firm in 2017.
His practice focuses on international investment and commercial arbitration, with past experience in public international law and law of outer space. He represents clients in a variety of international arbitrations, covering a wide range of industries. He also advises clients on issues of conflict of laws and international enforcement of arbitration awards.
Previously, he acted as Senior Legal Counsel at the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre (LAC) and as Expert Advisor in the ICC National Committee of Slovenia. He was a member of working groups preparing the 2014 Ljubljana Arbitration Rules, the 2019 Ljubljana Mediation Rules and the LAC Procedures for the Administration of Cases under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Recently, he has been appointed by the Board of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre as the Chair of the working group amending the LAC Arbitrator’s Guidelines.
He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. He regularly speaks on the topic of international arbitration.
He has been named a Future Leader by Who's Who Legal (since 2019) and listed among 13 most highly regarded arbitral arbitration practitioners under 45 (non-partners) in the EMEA region.
